Connection with Tarot
Everyone is born with a unique connection to Tarot, which can be calculated using your birth date.
Personality Card: Represents the primary lesson you are meant to learn in this lifetime.
Soul Card: Represents the ultimate purpose and destination of your soul.
Year Card: Represents the themes, experiences, and challenges you will encounter this year.
Personality and Soul Cards Calculation
- Add your Birth Year, Birth Month, and Birth Day together to get a total sum.
- Add the individual digits of that sum together until you get a number between 1 and 22.
- The resulting number corresponds to a Major Arcana card, which is your "Personality Card."
- Note: If the initial sum of digits is greater than 22, add the digits again.
- Add the digits of your Personality Card number together. The result (between 1 and 9) is your "Soul Card."
Example:
Birth Date: 1997 / 1 / 1
Sum: 1997 + 1 + 1 = 1999
Digits: 1 + 9 + 9 + 9 = 28
Second Sum: 2 + 8 = 10
Results:
- Personality Number: 10 (Card: The Chariot)
- Soul Number: 1 (1 + 0 = 1, Card: The Magician)
Understanding the Results:
- Between 1 and 9: Your Personality Card and Soul Card are the same.
- Between 10 and 22: Your Personality Card is the number itself, while your Soul Card is the sum of its digits.
- Greater than 22: Keep adding the digits until you reach a number between 1 and 22 for the Personality Card, then sum those digits for the Soul Card.
- Special Case: If the digits sum to 19, then 10, then 1, your Personality Card is 19 and Soul Card is 1.
Year Card Calculation
Change the calculation year to the "Current Year."
Example (for 2026):
Sum: 2026 + 1 + 1 = 2028
Digits: 2 + 0 + 2 + 8 = 12
Year Card: Number 12 (Corresponding to: The Hanged Man)
Reflections
From being a stranger to Tarot to making the first contact, and finally establishing a deep connection.
By mapping your birth date to the Major Arcana, you can discover your unique Personality Card, Soul Card, and Year Card. This has allowed me to understand my life lessons, soul purpose, and the challenges of the current year.
I believe this is a process of understanding and familiarizing oneself through the lens of Tarot. It doesn't mean life is bound to a fixed direction; rather, it provides a perspective from a different dimension to look at oneself, others, and the world around us.
